Welcome to Windfall Orchard!

Windfall Orchard is a 2-acre apple orchard overlooking the Green Mountains in Vermont’s Champlain Valley. Though the oldest tree dates back to 1918—a Rhode Island Greening—the orchard’s modern incarnation began in the late 1970s under the stewardship of Dr. Ted Collier and Art Blaise, a kind of local “Johnny Appleseed” who worked in orchards in and around Cornwall for more than 60 years. In 2002, the property was purchased by Brad Koehler and Amy Trubek who, along with Blaise, continued to expand the plot’s many varieties which now includes more than 80 kinds of apples (some found only at Windfall), plums, pears, and sour cherries.

In 2025, Adam Federman and Sarah Trouslard acquired Windfall and will continue to cultivate some of the best tasting fruit and fresh cider the region has to offer. We also plan to hold tastings with local cider, wine, and spirit makers, family-style dinner parties, and other events.
